Developing the Information System for INSPIRE Public Services and Public Administration Services

The INSPIRE Services Information System (ISSI) is an information system that serves to support all the responsibilities of the Ministry of the Interior as the responsible entity for national dataset of the INSPIRE Theme 6. Utility and governmental services of Annex III of the INSPIRE Directive (hereafter referred to as ‘III/6’), set out in national legislation and in accordance with the Regulations implementing the INSPIRE Directive.

Project objectives:

  • Creation of a central information system containing data in the scope of III/6, which will be used for mutual data provision (exchange and sharing) between target groups and its link to the National INSPIRE Geoportal.
  • Providing the harmonization of III/6 data in accordance with national legislation and European Commission regulations implementing the INSPIRE Directive, and the creation of a national INSPIRE III/6 dataset to ensure cross-border and interdisciplinary interoperability.
  • Launching of information system services over III/6 data for target groups, allowing to acquire, collect, store and share III/6 data of defined quality and accuracy and to harmonize them according to INSPIRE technical specifications.

Project results:

  • a functional public administration information system containing harmonized III/6 data in the defined structure and quality and associated metadata in the defined structure and quality.
  • existence of tools and services required by the INSPIRE Directive and enabling the management of III/6 data.
  • existence of services enabling the use of data in scope III/6 (ISSI enhanced services).
  • detailed definition of the ISSI content.
  • technical specification of the individual elements of the ISSI content.
